The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has today (Wednesday 18 December 2024) set out a plan to reduce driving test waiting times.

There have been some changes made to the Highway Code and these will come into effect on 29th January 2022. The 8 changes include: 1) Being aware of the responsibilities of road users and those most at risk 2) How drivers must respond to people crossing the road at junctions 3) Being aware of the responsibilities of people walking, cycling and riding horses in shared spaces 4) How cyclists should position themselves in the road when cycling 5) Safe overtaking when driving or cycling 6) How cyclists must respond at junctions 7) Responding to cyclists, horse riders and horse-drawn vehicles on a roundabout 8) Safe practices for charging electric vehicles, parking and leaving vehicles.
